Here's to better and brighter times ahead. Enough of feeling the blues and worrying over things I have no control over, I'm so gonna get myself a cupcake and maybe tinder later! x

The Little Whispers of the Seasons

Image
It's truly an agony to have lost my voice over the past few days. I got better today but on the first few days of being sick, the best I could manage was to whisper if not croak with massive voice breaks in a conversation. That was how bad it was.  On a side note, this was one of my favorite outfit that I put together last month for my godfather's birthday lunch. Denim shirt , Mint mesh midi skirt and a hat to cover up my undone black roots.   On me:  - Denim Button Up (Cotton On) - Mint Mesh Midi Skirt (Bugis Street) - Wedges (Melissa)  - Neon Pink sling bag (Bangkok) - Fedora (H&M)  - Statement Earrings (Lovisa)  Family Love.  I can be found on... FACEBOOK ,  TWITTER ,  INSTAGRAM .

A U G U S T : Life in Squares

As much as I love my Samsung Note 2, these days it just won't stop being a complete bitch. Transferring files to my phone has been a pain in the ass, thankfully for Airdriod I could simply download pictures from my computer without having to face crappy "Not Responding" messages whenever I drag files into my phone.  Even though it's a little late but I'm keeping Sam Smith's album on loop again lately. I thought Leave Your Lover was sad but my friend disagrees. Selfishness aside, it's a pretty  sad emotional song okay!  " Oh, I'm in love with you and you will never know, but if I can't have you, I'll walk this life alone."  Unrequited love is just  SAD and pathetic. I could give you a list of my favorites on his album but if you're a lonely soul like me, In The Lonely Hour is just for you. Anyway here is my life in squares for the month of AUGUST .  Photos from L to R:  1. S & I visited the YSL counter a...

R R Rant: Boobie Woes

Image
You read it right, I'm talking about boobs right now! I intended to keep this to myself but I thought ranting would be the best to vent my frustrations now. So bear with my, breasties .  So recently there is this person who is annoying me. This annoying person, let's just call her K. K is a person is seemingly self-conscious about herself. She takes interest in keeping a good physique, health food that I bring to work and also fashion. So whenever she asks about workout & dieting tips or fashion advise, I'd willingly share my knowledge with her.  Anyway previously, she claimed that she needed to reduce weight so I introduced her Blogilates and Jessica Smith for simple exercises that could be done in the comfort at her home. Her excuse was.. "Huh.. But I don't like to exercise." Also, there are times that I thoughts she's weird. Note that I'm not close with K, I barely knew her. On my work days, I'd usually pack homemade salad...

FAV BOOK + OOTD: FLOWY MAXI SKIRT

Image
Hello internet friends, how is everyone doing?  I hope everyone is doing great~ :D  I'm back for another outfit post but before that I wanna share with you one of my favourite book and that is...  The Art of Communication II by Taiwanese author Kevin Tsai; otherwise known as Cai Kang Yong.  Well, I chanced upon the first book a couple of years back on playstore and decided to give it a read. Yeah I know... I didn't even own a physical copy of the first book back then but I'm glad he decided to release a part II to it and I managed to get my hands on it.  Speaking/talking/communicating is something that we do everyday but we put very little thoughts to it because we don't know the art to it. I know I'm not exactly good with words but somehow or another, I realised that the importance of communications is key to building good relationsips and doors to more oppotunities. To be good with words is a virtue and I'm sure that we all know some people in our ...

Baby, it's cold outside.

On a night like this, I lit up my favourite candle, listen to the raindrops tapping on my window pane while I cosy up in my warm bed writing this post. So glad that I managed to make it home in time from my night jog before the rain started pouring. Oh these little things makes my day. A cup of hot chocolate would be perfect tonight.  Anyway, I wanted to share some of the souveniers that I got from 3 different people who travelled out of the country last month. 1) A hand made bracelet & heart-shaped keychain (Godfather's recent trip to Eastern Europe) The cute bracelet was something special that he picked out from along the streets during Easter Day and the key chain was from Budapest. Looking at his pictures 2) Postcard & coaster from Melbourne A classmate went to Melbourne recently and he visited most of the places that Running Man filmed during their trip there. Saw a couple of familiar places that I've visited when I was a kid and it brought back so m...

Life ain't easy, you got to be strong.

Was listening to "Common Ground " by Kodaline while writing this post, the song of the lyrics reminded me of the conversation I had with S last week. S had been a great and supportive friend to me and I always looked up to her. Mainly because she is a wise old soul and for that she gives great advise. I haven't met S  for quite sometime so we did a little bit of catching up that night, and that was the day I felt so lost after a meeting. But my clouded mind cleared up after having some heart-to-heart talk that night. In case you're wondering, it's my life after graduation that is bothering me, in short - my future. What am I going to do after I graduate? What kind of job should I find? and the list of questions goes on.... ... Let me say this again, I may seem to be nonchalant to some people but having mentioned it in previous posts, I really AM panicking. But I guess the biggest barrier for me is  atelophobia-  the fear of not being good enough. That is ...

Under pressure, precious things can break.

This post was drafted way before valentine's day but it didn't get posted cos it got stuck in my draft box.  Anyway, this make-up look was inspired by the sweet valentine's day.  For this look, I used pink as the base colour, blended a taupe shade at my outer corner of my eye to tone down the sweetness and to give my eyes more depth. To make my eyes sparkle, I lightly dusted shimmer powder all over my lids. To complete my eye make-up, I used a plum colour eyeliner instead of the usual brown to add a fun element to the look.  These are my essentials to complete this look:  For Eyes:  1. Urban Decay Naked Palette 2: Tease (Contouring outer-corner of eyes)  2. Urban Decay Glinda Palette: Magic (Base Color) & Tornado (Lining of waterline)  3. Urban Decay Primer Potion  4. Sasa Shimmery Powder  5. Etude House Tear Eyeliner  For Face:  1. Chanel Le Blanc Fluid Foundation in 20 Beige  2. Cha...

Deep In Thoughts.

(Wearing: Lovisa statement earring)   Haven't been on this space for some time and here's a quick update. Just like the photo, I've been thinking a lot lately. By a lot I meant over-thinking and worrying hella lot. I have a few months left until I graduate from university and in no time, I'd be entering the workforce. The golden question "What the hell am I gonna do after I graduate?" kept poppin' on my mind and I believe in a few days (Chinese New Year) , these air conversations that I have with myself would soon turn into some real-time interview. Well some says to follow my passion but I say, my sole passion is to make myself beautiful and the people around me beautiful. So what now? Is there a career for a  personal beautifier ? Haha. A total bimbo career option that anyone could have heard of right?  On a side note, school has started! Haven't been on my A-game since the holidays and I must say I'm doing this victory dance while r...

STILL PASTEL, KOREA HAUL & THE BEST BFF ♥

Image
HEY I'm back~ Nah, not really. I have yet to be done with my finals and I'm merely squeezing time while taking a break from revision.  We are finally at the end of the year with another 13 days to Christmas. Not doing anything specifically special but I guess it's the festive season that gets my mood lifted and all the crazy SALES that is going on that is keeping me hyped. Haha.  My love for the pastels is REAL! Haha. Even though most people are so over summer, I'm still wearing the summer colors now. Pastels always makes me feel so soft and girly. See how loyal am I to pastels?  What I'm wearing: Heart shape pastel blue crop top (BKK)//Polka dotted skirt (BKK)//Pony bag (BKK)//Necklace (BKK)   By the way, everything that I'm wearing is no more than SGD15. OH THE AMAZING THAILAND. Previously, I kept having grumpy and crampy feet at night due to the drop in temperature on rainy nights. I bought these comfy socks from Daiso that I love so much! Th...

Do More of What Makes You HAPPY~

Image
Bought this Happy quote book awhile ago and this has got to be one of my favourite quotes.  "Do more of what makes you happy." True isn't it? I keep seeing people on my timeline complaining about everything! Complaining about public transport, about the school, exams, people. I don't know what more. I think if you are that, then you should probably stop doing what you're doing now because it's causing you so much frustration and anger. Most importantly, it doesn't make you happy. So what's the point of doing what you're doing now?  But being inspired, there's a high price to pay . I mean it literally. This quote sort of supports my bad shopping habits. Whenever I'm feeling stressed, retail therapy is the way. It is highly effectively for me and gets me all alive and happy again. Of course I'm still spending within my means, it's not like I'm splurging on designer bags or cars. *cough* I'm not that rich yet you see...

STRONG FIGHTER

Image
Sometimes, I have no idea how I pulled through shit and then survived it. But it's proven, I'M A FIGHTER once again. I fought my way through those sleepless nights and never once gave up. Now, I'll just have to keep pressing on... For one last assignment for the trimester... And then my life would be a little easier. Leaving you with my favourite quote and a non-pixelated picture of me...   "Winners don't quit and quitters never win."

Bold or Gradient?

Image
Just a short update... ...  Recently, I keep having a dilemma on whether to go for the bold lips or gradient lips. Can't really decide which look do I like best, love the strong and fun color but then again I like the sickly gradient look. Haha. Oh yes, I'm back to having bangs again!  So what do you think? What will you choose between bold lip or gradient lip?  XOXO.  (Follow me on bloglovin')  FACEBOOK ,  TWITTER ,  INSTAGRAM .  Oh, I really wanna thank new followers on bloglovin' & GFC.
